Checking In With Turmeric Lost

After completing work on their new album Usterday, Turmeric Lost sat down to answer some questions for us. Read on below.

LGS: You guys are somewhat unique in this field as you’re cross-generational and related - the only electronic father/son duo that I can think of. How did that come about? Calum: From I don’t know. Um, who was it? Remember? What you talking about? Grampa? I like the keys best. Brandon: That’s as good an answer as you’ll get from anyone really... I mean, when it grabs ya, you gotta move on, right? So are there a lot of ego clashes when father and son work together? Calum: Me, not you. Not you, me. Brandon: nope, it’s all synchronicity, like when Mozart played with Beethoven? Or Lennon taught Hendrix how to play guitar with his toes, you know? Like peanut butter and organic, grass-fed, free-range, vegan, gluten-free clover honey! We’re like magnet and steel when we’ve got a groove in front of us. Can you give us some insight into the name of the group? Calum: I want you to drive this thing. This thing right here. I want you to drive this. This part of the choo-choo. I want you to drive this part of the choo-choo Brandon: Peter H Reynolds - that dude is deeeeeeeep How do you go about titling your songs? Calum: they’re like songs about pass you and me and you can drive it this way What’s the craziest studio story you have for us? Brandon: Calum is such a guru man - in the studio he is just so hyper-focused and dialed in, so it’s all about reaching to the heights of his vibe, you know? Like riding his wave of transformation as it evolves before your eyes... Your LGS debut, Usterday, is approaching release. What should people expect from it? Calum: “Usterday” is gonna be (sound effects ostensibly reminiscent of the band’s release…) Any last words of advice for the fans? Calum: Vice? What’s vice? About stories? Or about blankets? About sleeping with them and about holding them and about swinging them around...

This one's gonna get you grooving - stay tuned for its release.
